The Petra Archaeological Park recorded notable tourism activity over the weekend, with a total of 2,264 visitors from various nationalities on Friday and Saturday.
According to statistics issued by the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority, the site received 1,327 visitors on Friday, including 176 foreign tourists, 601 participants in the “Urdunna Jannah” program, 25 Arab visitors, 396 Jordanians, and 128 residents.
On Saturday, the number of visitors reached 937, including 429 foreign tourists, 265 participants in the “Urdunna Jannah” program, 25 Arab visitors, 172 Jordanians, and 45 residents.
These figures reflect strong activity over the weekend, driven by increased participation in the “Urdunna Jannah” program, along with a rise in foreign visitors, highlighting Petra’s continued appeal as a leading tourist destination.
