Ingredients
2 cups Basmati rice

3 cups hot water

1 tsp turmeric

1 tsp fresh ginger, grated

1 tsp fenugreek seeds

2 tbsp lemon juice

1 tbsp oil or butter

½ tsp salt

Lemon slices (for serving)

Fresh parsley or cilantro (for garnish)

Preparation Method
Thoroughly wash the Basmati rice, soak it for 20 minutes, and then drain well.

Heat the oil or butter in a pot over medium heat. Add the fenugreek seeds and grated ginger, sautéing for about one minute until fragrant.

Stir in the turmeric quickly, then add the drained rice. Toss well with the spices until the grains are evenly coated and take on a golden color.

Pour in the hot water, then add the salt and lemon juice, bringing the mixture to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let the rice simmer for 15 to 20 minutes until the liquid is fully absorbed.
