AMMAN — The
Jordan Basketball Federation will hold a press conference Thursday to announce the name of the player who was granted Jordanian citizenship and will represent the Kingdom in the second stage of the FIBA Asia Cup being hosted by Jordan on November 7 to 13.

The conference will be held Thursday morning at 11am, at the federations headquarter, in the presence of the President of the federation Mohamed Alayyan, and Secretary General Nabeel Abu Ata, as well as head of women’s committee, Dina Abu Halasa, along with team’s management and coaches.
Names of new sponsor companies will also be announced during the conference.
In addition, the team’s management, led by Faisal Nussor and his assistant Nayef Asfour, have excluded Lana Sunaa and Joelle Halasah from the final roster for the Asia Cup.
The list now includes: Zara Najjar, Tala Shahatit, Joanna Haddad, Zekra Shihadeh, Anoud Assi, Dana Fadda, Farah Abu Abed, Maria Alhinn, Liliana Abu Jbarah, Farah Shiyyab, and Rasha Abdo.
In related context, the Kazakh basketball delegation arrived in Jordan on Wednesday and will play in group two, while the rest of the group one teams are expected to arrive on Thursday, including Syria, Iran, Lebanon, while Indonesia is expected to arrive on Friday.
