The Israeli army announced on Saturday that it had carried out 90 airstrikes across the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, as its ground forces continued their operations inside the territory.

The escalation comes amid media reports suggesting "progress" in ongoing negotiations in the Qatari capital, Doha, aimed at reaching a ceasefire and prisoner exchange deal.
In a statement, the Israeli military said: “Over the past day, the Air Force conducted approximately 90 airstrikes on targets across the Gaza Strip, in coordination with maneuvering ground forces.”
It claimed that the targets included "military compounds, militant buildings, underground infrastructure, and other facilities."
However, field reports from Gaza — confirmed by medical sources and eyewitnesses — indicate that Israeli attacks have largely focused on displaced persons’ tents, civilian homes, and shelter centers, with children and women making up the majority of casualties.
In this context, the army added: “The 162nd Division continues its operations in the northern part of the Strip, while the 99th Division remains active in both the north and center.”
It further stated: “In the vicinity of Gaza City, the 98th Division is expanding its combat operations.”
